How-To

For typical use cases, examplary solution approaches are indicated.

Contents:

  • Access rights
To define access rights globally and specifically.
  • Import/Export/XML-interfaces
The import/export possibilities of ZMS allow rapid setup of great content quantities. The XML import and export interface can be enhanced by own interfaces.
  • Comfortable Editing
ZMS provides different approaches for editing texts that should be choosen depending on the targeted use of the text streams.
  • Automatic Tables of Contents
The navigation of a website is generated through so-called TOC-Lists (table of content); ZMS provides various functions for generating object lists.
  • Links
The link model of ZMS pictures hyperlinks bidirectional and consistent: since only the link object defines object relations via the object-IDs, the use of the link object instead of the coding of A-elements is primarily recommended for the (internal) linking.
  • ZMS Data Tables
ZMS provides two approaches for integrating database-like information: 1. the standard object 'SQL data source' allows direct access to external data sources, whereas 2. the ZMS data tables element represents a simple, efficient modelling tool for smaller 'database-applications'. The ZMS data table is XML-based and makes use of the XML functions of Python.
