Installation instructions for Microsoft Windows 2000/NT/XP

ZMS requires the application server Zope by www.zope.org as technical platform. If the Zope aplication server (for Microsoft Windows 2000/NT/9x) is installed you can proceed with the installation of ZMS by copying all files from the zip-archive into the folder $ZOPE_HOME\lib\python\Products\.

Installation of ZMS

  1. Download the data file zms_build_xxx.zip in our download area with the ZMS product (push right mouse button and select "save data file at...").
  2. Unpack the data file in a temporary directory under $TEMP\zms_build_xxx\ (push right mouse button and select "extract in the folder $TEMP\zms_build_xxx\")
  3. Copy the directory zms\ from $TEMP\zms_build\zms\ from $ZOPE_HOME\lib\python\Products\ to $ZOPE_HOME\lib\python\Products\ (if necessary overwrite already existing folder by zms\).
  4. Restart the ZOPE for the installation of the ZMS product!

Application of a new ZMS object

  1. Apply a new ZMS object over Add (generally the default adjustments can be kept).
  2. Switch to your new ZMS object.
  3. Now you´re in the edit interface and can work with ZMS!
