Installation: ZMS 2.3.2-b45 or higher requested
(since ZMS 2.8.1 package functionality integrated)
IMPORTANT: An already existing Bulletin Board (e.g. v2.0.2) is replaced by the new version 3.0 when importing the ZMSPackage PeerReview. Please check the migration of existing Bulletin Boards in a test system before integrating the special object PeerReview!
(A) Import PeerReview.metaobj.xml under 'Configuration' / 'Spec. Objects' . The following SpecObjs are generated:
(B) Import Discussions.langdict.xml under 'Configuration' / 'Multilingualism'.
(C) Import setActiveFile.metacmd.xml under 'Configuration' / 'Actions'.
The PeerReview object includes a corresponding meta attribution and setting of internal versions of the media objects (PeerReview files). The ZMS action "Set Active File" allows in one step to activate a media object and deactivate all other deposited media objects.
When applying the PeerReview object a discussion forum with alerting and evaluation functionality (Bulletin-Board 3.0) is initialised. Participants of discussions can subscribe certain discussion threads and then receive a notification per e-mail for each incoming contribution. The online discussion takes place centrally in the forum. From experience this mix (simultaneous Push and Pull) facilitates and enhances the exchange in a group.
The administrator e-mail address is taken over automatically from the PeerReview object. It serves as sender address for sending notification e-mails for the subscribed discussion threads in the forum. The cancelling of notifications happens comfortably via a link in the notification.
In the forum links are displayed directly as click-able hyperlinks.
