Output of ZMS data tables as CSV
The abbreviation CSV (Character Separated Values, also Comma Separated Values) stands for a file format. A simply structured XML-code underlies the ZMS data table that can be transformed with DTML or XSLT to CSV. In this way ZMS data table contents can be transferred very easily to other database systems. The example shows the variant with XSLT.

More information on Zope Page Templates can be found in the Zope book
Zope Page Templates (ZPT) with TAL and METAL elements can be readily used together with ZMS. There is no special support for ZPT/TAL in ZMS, e.g. you can not directly use ZPT/TAL in methods defined in Special Objects, but you can call a Zope Page Template from a DTML method as well as include the output of a DTML method in a Zope Page Template.

Debug Mode
With activated 'ZMS-Log' ZMS 2.3 records the sequence of internal function calls; This helps when analysing errors of one´s own extensions of the system.

How to update ZMS 2.3
From ZMS-Version 2.2 on the character encoding UTF-8 is used. For this reason some issues are to be recognized when updating to ZMS2.2+/Zope2.7+. Regularly, the ISO-Latin Code must be substituted by HTML entities within templates and special objects. Also some CSS adaptations are to be done, especially concerning the ZMS teaser element.
