Layout Table

Simple table construction for complex contents: In opposite to the standard table (= data table) the special object 'layouttable' can display a sequence of any objects in column layout. Possible applications are e.g. typeset with marginal notes, complex list with graphics.

com.zms.layouttable_ger.xml (13KB)

Installation: Import as special object under 'Configuration' / 'Spec. Objects'. The imported XML generates 2 objects: 1. layouttable and 2. layouttableitem.

The object is constructed very simple: an object sequence is iterated via a defined number of columns considering an optional horizontal cell fusion. The container (1) generates the table resp. the correct nesting of TR-elements, while the cell (2) allows the cell fusion (colspan) and the definition of a background colour.

Exemplary layout table: any content objects can be sequenced repetitively in table columns. For each cell a background colour and the Colspan parameter can be set. ZMI allows per click on the cell to jump in the editing mode of the respective cell.
