ZMS supports a hierarchic publication process which permits to "push" documents from sub-sites lower in the hierarchy into a portal. For example a branch office can place his documents in the superordinate presentation of the head office through adequate document attribution. The document appears in the portal in the look-and-feel defined there; only the body and his attributes are published "up". The document itself remains physically in the hierarchy of the sub-site. Herewith interconnecting websites become possible being able to canalise the various interests without making necessary a large-scaled central maintenance or content redundance.
