ZMS stocks design and layout as well as the logic of the site presentation (navigation etc.) in templates. So the actual
production process of the contents is separated from design and logic questions. Their control is realized exclusively via attributes (object properties).
Templates are layout patterns that on the one hand produce recurrent ("monotonous“) site functions and on the other hand set up these functions and the content elements to a table construct: head of the page with logo, channel navigation, micro navigation, input field for search etc.
The templates contain, besides the table structure for the layout and the corresponding referencing of graphics or buttons, the programme logic which makes sure that the navigation is automatically produced in a correct form always.
